A Day in Muzaffarnagar

SYNOPSIS:

On 28th December 2019, I accompanied the Karwan-e-Mohabbat (Caravan of Love) fact-finding team to Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, to document the violence against Indian Muslims who were peacefully protesting the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act.
The team was led by Harsh Mander and comprised human rights activists, lawyers, media professionals, academics and students.

Partially filmed with an iPhone 8, this short film documents images and testimonies of the people whom we met and the locations that we visited in Muzaffarnagar over one day.
